Google has just celebrated their tenth birthday, and in celebration of the fact they have re-launched Google 2001 in honor of its birthday. I know what you are thinking, if it is their tenth birthday, how come they are not showing us results from 1998. Google did have an answer bit it is a little technical.

You should try out Google 2001 search engine, the results are cool. If you search for someone like Barack Obama, it only returns 773 results. That shows you how far Google have come with their index.

Google 2001 is a great little tool as it helps you take a trip back into the past, when you see the changes happening through the years on a search engine, you never seem to notice the change. It is only until you take a big leap back that you notice that change.

You can also set Black Google as your default search engine, and still get results from other search engines without ever leaving the page using their Black Google feature. You can search any major site such as Google, YouTube, Amazon and eBay by preceding the search term with “!youtube” or “!google” and so forth – and you will automatically be taken to a list of search results from that service. It also works with keywords such as weather, images, and lyrics.
