Spontaneous sharing of photos, videos, business presentations and other visual media with friends, family or colleagues has never been so much fun. Get ready for the coolest new development in mobile projection technology that will become a must-have pocket friend for people who simply love gadgets – from techies and geeks to socialites and fashionistas to travelling business professionals.
The MPro110 micro professional projector from diversified technology company 3M is a tiny, lightweight device comparable to the size of a Smartphone and is the first of its kind on the market. It weighs just 152 grams and measures 115L x 50W x 22H mm, has completely silent operation and the rechargeable battery gives up to 60 minutes running time for even greater mobility.
Using LCOS technology the MPro110 has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and a native resolution of 640 x 480 VGA. Its ability to project from 5 inches up to 50 inches diagonal presents a stylish alternative to using smaller displays on portable digital equipment to share content on the spot. Users can project on to the closest smooth surface whether it is a wall or a ceiling.
The MPro110 is perfectly designed for use with laptop PCs. This also opens up a whole world of digital applications such as mobiles, iPods, video MP3 players, digital cameras and games consoles (specialist cables may be required). Users can share photos of holidays, special occasions and happy memories with a group of friends, watch the video clips they downloaded earlier in the day or re-live that game-winning goal, anywhere, anytime.
Impulsive mobile usage becomes particularly interesting for business travellers as the projector allows quick and easy delivery of impromptu sales presentations while on the road or in a last-minute meeting and facilitates group working in confined spaces.
“3M is first to embrace the wave of a new breed of micro projectors that will change the way we connect and communicate with people,” commented Stephen Bullough, business development manager for 3M’s mobile projection technology in Europe. “From practical to just plain fun, the possibilities for MPro110 are endless. It can be effortlessly connected to a laptop for a spur-of-the-moment big screen experience in any home or work environment.”
Available as of today, the MPro110 micro professional projector has a recommended selling price of £299 including VAT. Please visit 3M.co.uk/MPro.

I just ordered the 3M MPro110, complete with cables and power supply, at http://www.shop3m.com/3m-micro-professional-projectors.html
They are in stock and shipping to US customers in the lower 48 states - sweet!!
It’s a nice toy, although it misses an easy connection to photo cameras, and that would make it so much more useful…
The Aaxatech unit is a much better unit with both onboard decoding and composite inputs allowing connection to cameras, etc…
The AAXA P1 Pico projector is the way to go. At $239 (www.aaxatech.com) it’s simply better and cheaper than the 3M unit…
Great concept; hurried and poor execution - I purchased it at Stapples and returned it within 24 hours. Cost = $379 (Taxes included) + $70 warranty for 2-year plan; it is one generation behind in terms of (light) lumens and focus
Pros: Size - Narrower than an iPOD/iPhone but slightly thicker. No moving parts except the focus wheel. Good for movies in a small dark room.
Cons: Room has to be dark to see projections on wall - Cannot see projection on wall in regular room lighting; cheap finish given cost; cannot see excel spreadsheet very clearly; color a few shades lighter than “real” color
