Xbox Live Update Maintenance Schedule MTU Failed Monday

i tried to log on this morning but i still got a MTU failure

Just tried it at 5:20pm. Still not working.

Well its an hour past the allotted time for Xbox Live to come back up and still it wont work, im still getting this stupid MTU error although my MTU settings are fine…..wtf microshit i want compensation you stupid fucks.

its now just gone 9am its been over 24 hours now but i still cant get on it comes up with mtu failed is anyone else having the same problem.

MS messes up agan. its the 30th sept 2008 at 9.10 am gmt and still xbox live isnt working,,,over run by 1 hour 10 mins and counting

no way of knowing what the problem is…bless their hearts for trying, but the xbox live network troubleshooting is very little help. Only they know what the problem is and how to fix it, and i guess that’s how MS likes to operate

Hi I seem to be having the same problem as everyone else, keep getting the MTU failed message. We have never had any difficulties before!

well so much for an update, nothing has updated on my xbox360. thanks for nothing microsoft. they advertised that wednesday would have a new update to the dashboard or something like that. but nothing…. seriously nothing.

IM GONNA GUESS… that the update may have been in preperation for a dashboard update. in a couple of days il turn on an it will say if i wish to use xbl i need to update for 20 min an then maybe it will be there.

OR… theres no dash update. instead xbl now gives you the right to over 100% more crap on the market place to spunk all ur money an will even consider u for credit! lol….HAPPY XMAS. hehe

I can sign into xbox live, but there is no update. Just the same dashboard there has always been.

Did the dashboard not get updated like it was supposed to for anyone else either?

funny thing is i waited for nothing.
the update failed and the old dashboard is up.
i can get on live and everything.
nothing has changed… yet.

I guess the new updates will come in to play after the true 24 hours is up. Im in central time so I will try around 2:00 p.m. today to see if there has been a change in the dashboard and these features Xbox say that they are giving us.

I could log on, but nothing happend, it was all the same stuff.

I am online now so everything should be working. Guys you have to remember wherever you live whether its in the east or the west, Microsoft is lcoated in Texas. This means that xbl would be back up and running at 12:01/pacific time

Ok the xbox costumer support lady said to download it from the website onto a disc which then u insert into ur xbox and it recieves update. If that doesnt work she said it should work in about 24 hours. To hear my information call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX or 1-800-469-9249

wow we just waited 24 hours and they really screwed us over they did nothing and if you ever get to sign on its still the same just a regular dashboard with nothing new there are no updates if you put in a game like cod4 like any systeme update when you pop in a game it must up date and your xbox will restart well not this time the people at microsoft must have done nothing last night

FUCKING idiots the update is preparing the base unit software for the new software being implemented on their servers, there is NO dashboard yet, it’ll be here in november.

seems the real issue here isn’t the update. its the matchmaking in COD4…its fucked now. cant get into any team deathmatches, and barely into a domination. if you ever get in a party……stay in it.

This was purely for there servers to be configured and set for the new dash. how the hell to people LIVE being so damn ignorant!!!!????

Although I agree that going without Xbox live for a day or two won’t kill anyone, I can see why people would be upset. You are paying for those days that are missed. Will Microsoft extend everyone’s membership by a day or two? Probably not. Yes, I know it only comes out to a loss of several cents per day, but it comes down to the principle of the whole thing.

Hey wtf? Now all tests work but xbox live which I was just on is not letting me log in. I just get this 360 last week because everyone says how great live is and the is not working for 2 of the 6 days I have had it. sucks! Get this fixed!

Ok, so My xbox was fine. its sept 30 11:00 PM and it stopped working again. Am i the only one? I tested my connection. Everything passed but xbox live? WHAT IS GOING ON?

I was playing COD4 for about 2 hours straight and at 1004pm sept30th. it went off line, then i tried over and over to get back on and nothing. It is now 1105pm and still cant connect.

ok, it’s been down for a day, fine, i go to play at night at 11:30 today, sep 30, playin halo 3, about to win a game, then it suddenly transferes me to the lobby and says i’m disconnected. i try to sign into xbox live again and again and it says the xbox live part of the test falied. it’s still not working? huh? i guess they decided to update again w/o telling us? how much longer do we have to wait? i can’t even look at my profile info on xbox com. it says the page is unavailable, wtf?

it works for an hour and then stops and then you cant sign in for about 10min.
this is crap and worse of all there was no update

I am having a problem with my update. When I turn on my xbox 360, its fine and go’s to xbox live. Then when I put any of games in, it says to download a update. Then when I download it, it fails and brings me to the dashboard. Can someone message me back with my because Forza 2 is getting boring after 2 days of racing. My GT= xTobin 808x

This does not surprise me one bit. For me it takes 5 minutes just to load the god damn dashboard!! Then it says I’m signed in but not into live. But I put COD4 it and it works just fine on live. I think these unexpected errors with that good for nothing update will be fixed by the end of this week.

If you guys had taken the time to actually go to the xbox web page and read a little instead of staring at your TV counting the 24.8 hours that xbox live was down you would have known that it was NOT the dashboard update, and not gotten your hopes up in the first place. It specifically said on the xbox live web page that this was just an update to prepare for the new dashboard later this fall. For those of you the update didnt install, download it, burn it to a CD, and put it in your xbox to install it manually.

Same thing is happening to me! I try to sign in, and sometime it works, sometimes it wont connect and sometimes it likes to trick me and wait until I’m in a game to randomly disconnect. What did the update even do? All that happened for me was a nice boot-full of fail all over my connection.

its a hassle for me to get online. for one thing i passed all the tests and yet i failed to go onto xbox live. but what was weird about was that when i rebooted the system, i was able to get online…although it didn’t always work. xbox live is completely broken; i can’t download anything on the maretplace (videos, tv shows, demos, games, nothing.), recieve messages, or even play online games ( i can’t even play SC IV online). i also noticed that if i do happen to go online, NOBODY else did, not even the players i fought against previously. what was even stranger was that when i looked at some of their gamer tags, they had no stars and all of their achievement points were down to zero, which had me raising questions about this maintancing (which was supposed to FIX xbox live, not DAMAGE it).

i’m really beginning to lose my patience with mircosoft. they’ve pissed me off on more than one occasion; this one included. if they keep letting me down like this, i’m gonna end up switching over to the ps3. >:1

What the hell does the fall dashboard update has to do with my issue on xbox live? of course this wasn’t the update and i sure as hell don’t have the time to sit at the screen all day to wait for it. i was just pointing out how bad the maintancing thing is turning out

ok i’m having a problem with my xbox live since the update i have two consoles ever since the update i cant connect them both at the same time i can keep on online with one but as soon as i connect the second one it boots the first if i try to sign back on it boots the other anyone else having problems like this

I only have one Xbox so I don’t know what to tell you. If I were you I would go on Xbox.com and call support and see what they have to say.
