Xbox 360 with 65nm Jasper chipset in stores
By: Peter Chubb | September 30, 2008 | 4 CommentsThere are some rumors floating about that Xbox 360’s that are hitting our stores now have the newer 65nm Jasper chipset. This new chipset has been most anticipated, not all 360 consoles will have the new piece of hardware.
If you are about to purchase a new Xbox 360, the best way to see if it will have the new 65nm Jasper chipset is by the manufacturing date. As long as it has a MFR as early as 2008-08-06, Lot 8031 and up, and Team CSON, then you are likely to have the new piece of hardware inside.
The new Jasper boards as we said features the 65nm (nanometers) GPU and CPU chips. The result is an Xbox 360 that uses less power and runs cooler and quieter. Hopefully these will mean an end to the RROD.
