Sony PS4 will be based on Existing Cell BE-CPU
By: Daniel Chubb | September 30, 2008 | 4 CommentsAccording to a Japanese tech news site it seems that Sony are going down the route of cost-saving scenarios, in that we have learned that the future Sony PS4 will have the same processor that is found in the current PS3.
Cell BE with SCE PS4 away from the possibility that it is still, for now, Cell BE-based version of the expansion and improvement are moving in a direction to be.
The PS4 chip will be reduced in size it has been said and that they will be lowering the cost of production, but come on we expect to see a different and much more powerful processor then the one we currently have. The thing is Sony really have to pull their finger out if they wish to compete with the likes of the Nintendo Wii when it comes to low-cost. We will have to see what the PS4 will bring, and yes that is a long way off yet.
