We love the world of green and solar electric vehicles especially motorcycles, we especially like the looks of the Prometheus Solar Electric motorcycle, the question is “Is the Prometheus Solar Electric Motorcycle impractical?
It all started with a wife who had a Ninja 250 that was not getting used, well at the Santa Monica AltCar Expo the Prometheus Solar Electric Motorcycle was spotted, AutoblogGreen talks about this bike.
The little picture we have here shows the motorcycle with four solar panel behind it, these offer 800-watts which is way more than enough to recharge the bike. However during testing batteries were blown up twice which is not a nice thought, the bike is inspired by Craig Vetter’s fuel efficiency contests of the 1980s, the technical lists shows that the bike uses lithium-ion phosphate batteries from Thundersky that have a 4.6 kWh capacity connected to a 10 HP Perm PMG 132 motor and can do a nice 70 mph with a range of 50 miles, read the full article here.
