Audi S3 comes with seven-speed twin-clutch S-Tronic gearbox

We knew that the upcoming Audi S3 for 09 will come in either a three-door style or the more popular Sportback five-door hatch. What we did not know was that the car was to come with a seven-speed twin-clutch S-Tronic gearbox.

With this 7 speed box working in conjunction with the 2.0-liter 265-horsepower turbo engine, you can go from standstill to sixty in just 5.5 seconds. That is not the good part though, although the Audi S3 has a lot of power under the hood, the car still achieves 30 miles per gallon.

There is one small problem though, that gearbox is not standard and comes at a premium. The price will be £1,450, this price also includes a twin steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. This helps to add to the whole sporty experience.
