By: Peter Chubb | September 30, 2008 | Leave a CommentApple has had a huge problem when it comes to pirate sales of their iPhone in Russia. Well that will all be a thing of the past as Apple is to officially launch the iPhone 3G in Russia on October 3.
The handset is all set to be sold at all of Russia’s major electronics stores. Apple hope that the projected sales forecast of 150,000 by the end of the year will become true.
The Apple iPhone 3G will be available on three of Russia’s largest networks, these are MTS, Vimpelcom and MegaFon. The handset will cost 22,999 roubles for the 8GB, that’s about $923.60. The 16GB version will cost 26,999 roubles, that’s about $1084. All three networks are taking advanced orders now.
