PSP firmware 5.0: Direct PSN access RSS text reader capable?

There has been a report from PSPGen, a French website saying that they believe that PSP firmware update 5.0 will offer direct PSN access. Not only that but the update will also offer an updated RSS reader, this will be capable of reading text-based articles.

As you may well know, the current version of the RSS component is very limited, it only allows you to view items that contain only audio, videos, or images.

This information is only speculation and has been based on a development version of the PSP firmware; this is designed for Testing Tool units. What does look to be certain is the inclusion of a PS Store as Sony did announce that it would be coming to the PSP sometime later in the fall.
