
Cadbury Recall all Chinese-made products: doubt on safety
By: Peter Chubb | September 29, 2008 | 4 CommentsCadbury have issued a recall of their Chinese-made products, this follows tests of their chocolate which casts a doubt on their safety. There is deep fear that these chocolate bars could actually contain melamine-laced milk.
Melamine-laced milk has been blamed for killing four children in China, while making at least 50,000 ill. Cadbury’s are to recall 11 of their confectionery items that are made in their Beijing factory. These are then distributed in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Australia.
Cadbury’s has said that all of its dairy suppliers have been cleared by government milk testing. It is the tests that have cast doubt on the integrity of a range of our products manufactured in China.
