Canon 40D DSLR camera hacked to record movies
By: Peter Chubb | September 25, 2008 | Leave a CommentBeing able to record movies on consumer level compact digital cameras is nothing new, but it is for a DSLR camera. What makes it so appealing to record a movie on a DSLR camera is the ability to choose from a variety of lenses.
If you are the owner of a Canon 40D, then you will be pleased to know that you are able to make use of a hack that will enable you to record movies. DataGhost is still in the process of getting the function to fully work on the Canon 40D, but the concept is there.
DataGhost has said that there are still a few issues with the powering down the camera while recording, writing to the card and auto focusing. Looking at the video below, you can see that some great progress has been made.
