Xbox 360 game tester tells of hardware failure and loses job
By: Daniel Chubb | September 15, 2008 | 1 CommentRobert Delaware, an Xbox 360 games tester lost his job after talking to a journalist from Venturebeat about a problem with the Xbox 360.
In the article that was published in Venturebeat , Delaware told journalist Dean Takahashi about the problem he came across whilst working for VMC, which is a company that tests games for Mircrosoft, he told Takahashi that he could see that the “Xbox Live updates embedded in retail games could turn working consoles into worthless hulks”.
Now, Delaware has lost his job at VMC for breach of his confidentiality contract, but he has said that he doesn’t care if it leads to a battle in court with Microsoft. When asked how he feels now he lost his job, Delaware said “It feels good it was the moral thing to do”. It seems that Delaware is ready for a fight with Microsoft, he seems pretty confident and not backing down to Microsoft.
