Sony VPL-VW80 Projector joins BRAVIA line

Sony has announced the Sony VPL-VW80 Projector which is joining the BRAVIA line and as usual no price or date has been revealed, but what we do have is a little information on specs.

The Sony VPL-VW80 Projector key features that may excite some of you includes full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 60000:1 contrast ratio and 800 ANSI lumens, at 60000:1 contrast ratio that is the highest in the BRAVIA line.

Other specifications on this projector features the new BRAVIA Engine 2 image processor, dual HDMI inputs, composite, s-video and VGA connection plus a serial port that will allow for easy control. It also has three Silicon X-tal Reflective Display (SXRD) display panels and an automatic lens cover that is superb because it means that the lens cover will open and close automatically when the projector is on and off.
