Sony shares having falling to their lowest level in three years, a direct result of the Vaio laptop recall. We reported the problem yesterday that Sony had to recall 73,000 Vaio TZ laptops as they might overheat and could burn people.

Well it turns out that Sony have to recall 438,000 Vaio laptops, this is not the first time that Sony have had recall issues. In recent years they had to recall a number of their notebook batteries as they could overheat and catch fire.

Sony have said that this latest recall would have a limited impact on their earnings, but there are concerns that the latest recall could damage Sony’s reputation as this is a major part of their business.
