Nintendo Wii price drop for more customers
September 4, 2008 | Filed under Gaming, Nintendo Wii

First today we heard about an Xbox 360 price cut and now we hear about Woolworths, a struggling UK high street retailer who has dropped the price of the Nintendo Wii.
The reason behind this is to apparently get more customers through the doors. The price cut is on the Wii Sports title and games console, with a new price of £159.99 (a saving of £20).
Like many other UK retail stores, Woolworths has hit tough times thanks to the credit crunch and has been pushing Wii products hard to increase sales. This includes the Wii Fit and re-branding some stores to Wiiworths. Some reports say that this latest Wii price drop has already brought many more sales to the store.
