Motorola aims its new MotoJewel clamshell at women

Well, not sure what to make of the new Motorola MotoJewel, it’s been advertised towards the female market, we have seen several phone companies in the past painting the phone a rather disgusting pink, and then presuming from that every female will be queuing up to purchase the ‘female’ handsets, well not quite sure what decade those guys are living in, but at least Motorola have put a little more thought into the MotoJewel.

Ok, to start it’s a clamshell design, and has a kind of mirror finish with a tinge of purple and a 3D crystal cut styling to it. Open it up and the interior of the phone is purple, which also is home to the rather clever OLED display with touch sensitive controls that are invisible until you touch it.

What the MotoJewel does have is Windows Media Player 11, Bluetooth connectivity and drag and drop music playback, camera, SMS, MMS and push email support. But, unfortunately you don’t have 3G, GPS but you do have the standard The phone comes with an innovative leather case apparently designed like a mini clutch bag, with a mirror, credit card and lipstick holder. The phone is going to cost under £100 in October and I believe the MotoJewel will be a hit for the younger females for the fun factor.
