Google Chrome browser security issues exposed
By: Peter Chubb | September 4, 2008 | 3 CommentsIt was bound to happen, security researchers have been testing Google Chrome web browser and they have found vulnerabilities. It seems that they have now exposed a number of security issues with the beta browser.
One such vulnerability is how a hacker might be able to crash the browser. Rishi Narang was one of the security researcher has described the issue on the SecuriTeam Web site. He has posted the proof of his findings on another site, Evilfingers.
Narang explains that a hacker might be able to build a malicious link that includes an undefined handler, which is then followed by a certain character. When a user then goes to click on the link, Google Chrome will crash.
