Sony and Samsung first with 200Hz LCD TV
By: Peter Chubb | September 3, 2008 | Leave a CommentSony and Samsung introduced the world’s first 200Hz LCD TV at IFA 2008. Sony was there with the Sony Bravia Z4500, the LCD TV has 200Hz MotionFlow so should produce smooth picture reproduction.
That was not the only 200Hz TV on show, Samsung also has one there. Sony is the only one from the two to offer a production version, as yet Samsung are yet to give us a production model.
What I find hard to understand is the fact that Sony and Samsung had already introduced 240Hz LCD TVs in Japan. Seems that they are taking a step backwards, but hey the rest of the world will be happy with a 200Hz LCD TV.
