The UK will premier the Nokia music service next month
Filed under: Cell Phones

Nokia is bringing out its free “all you need” music subscription service which will be available in the UK first then will be available in continental Europe and Asia in 2009. Nokia expects to offer around 2.1 mill
ion tracks at the launch, and have Warner Music, Universal Music and Sony BMG on board and is set to have EMI signed before the launch as well.
This service is a advertised as free but realistically has been embedded into the Nokia’s pre-pay 5310 XpressMusic Comes With Music Edition handset (which is priced between £70-£80 for the pay-as-you-go, non-CwM handset) when purchased though the UK’s Carphone Warehouse.
There is another slight snag, you will then have to purchase another CwM-compatible device at the end of the year in order to continue downloading tracks.
