Hacker Gary McKinnon could be facing 70 years in jail after he lost his last attempt to fight against deportation. 42-year old McKinnon was named as the world’s biggest computer hacker after he had broke into secret files of the American Defense.
The House of Lords have now ordered for him to be deported back to the U.S., a country that he has never set foot in. The European Court of Human Rights threw out his appeal to put a stop to the extradition.
Gary McKinnon, who was out of work lives in north London, he has always admitted that he gained access to 97 US Navy, Army, NASA and Pentagon computers. He did this from the bedroom if his girlfriend’s aunt’s house.
McKinnon claimed that he had been searching for evidence that we have been visited by UFOs. The Government has said that he stole passwords and then deleted files shortly after 9/11.
