Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Mini netbook, small but powerful


How Cute! I want one NOW! We heard news at the beginning of August about the Amilo netbook, but the lucky guys over at Pocket-lint have managed to get their hands on the new Amilo Mini Ui 3520 netbook by Fujitsu Siemens.
The Amilo netbook may be small measuring in at 32.2 x 17.5cm but it packs a powerful punch, with features such as a 80GB Hard drive with a 120GB model being promised for December, 1GB RAM and a Intel Atom N270 processor not forgetting the 8.9inch non-glare display this netbook really is one to shout about.
You can find the normal Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on-board, VGA, two USB, 4-in-1 SD card reader, Ethernet and the usual mic and headphone sockets, plus the mini notebook comes with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.
To keep in touch with your friends whilst you’re mobile it also has a 1.3-megapixel webcam and array microphone. Fujitsu Siemens the creator of this netbook always keen to boast about their products and unique features have been very excited about the “design language” the Amilo netbook comes in the new black and white lively that we saw earlier this year. But adding an innovative twist this year, it will also come with clip-on covers, plus extra options available separately, including transparent cover so you can add your own unique style to your netbook.
You will also find an ExpressCard slot, intended for the addition of the 3G connectivity, it also comes with a four-cell battery giving you 2.5 hours of usage, you can upgrade to a six-cell option which will give you 4 hours of mobile fun. This cute little device weights less that a kilo so is the perfect travel companion.
The price of the Amilo Mini Ui 3520 will be available for around 399 Euros from October, just in time for Christmas.
