If you are looking for a new LCD digital photo frame then look no further, Samsung have just released four new LCD digital photo frames, between 8-to-10 inches in size, not only that but two of the frames actually have Wi-Fi connectivity. All frames offer Samsung’s starlight touch controls, these combine with on-screen touch controls and all the frames are encased in a glossy black bezel.
The 8-inch models consist of the SPF-85H and Wi-Fi-enabled SPF-85V, while the 10-inch versions are the SPF-105P and the wireless SPF-SPF105V.
What’s so great about the picture frames is that they can interface with a PC or notebook for use as a secondary monitor, through Samsung’s USB-based UbiSync port. The 10-inch frames have a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels display area, while the 8-inch models offer an 800 by 600 pixels.
Both the 8 inch and 10 inch frame without the Wi-Fi feature 1GB of internal flash storage, while the wireless versions have 64MB. But you can connect to Widows Live Spaces photo sharing over 802.11b/g. In addition, they utilize InfoLink to connect with USA Today RSS feeds and Frame Channel on the Wi-Fi models which is pretty amazing.
All of these Samsung digital frames can use MMC, SD, MemoryStick and XD memory cards, plus USB memory sticks. You can use a rechargeable battery on the wireless 8-inch and both 10-inch for more exact placement this comes as standard on these models.
Will the cost of these digital frames shock you? Well Samsung is selling the SPF-85H and 85V for $130 and $200 respectively, while the SPF-105P and 105V are priced at $200 and $290, we think they are worth it.
