HTC S740: much like Touch Diamond and Pro
By: Peter Chubb | August 26, 2008 | Leave a CommentFor those of you who have often thought about owning a HTC Touch Pro but thought it was a little over the top, then HTC have another offering. The HTC S740 is a revamp of the old S710 and I have to say that HTC have certainly worked hard on their new handset.
The basic concept is much the same, the Windows Mobile Standard cell phone has the candybar styling along with the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. HTC have borrowed a lot of the design features from their Touch Diamond and Touch Pro and given the S740 a 2008 look.
As you would expect, HTC have worked hard on improving the features of the S740 over the older S710. The handset comes with 7.2Mbps HSDPA on the 900 and 2100MHz bands.
Other features include a 3.2-megapixel fixed focus cam, 2.4-inch QVGA display, quadband EDGE, GPS and WiFi. Many might be thinking that their handset already features most of those features, but do they have that cool keyboard that the S740 has.
