How to get more performance for Call of Duty 4

We all love Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but it would be good to get more performance, so how have they achieved this?
Well apparently you can get better performance if you use Radeon X2 card say like the future HD 4870 X2 or Radeon HD 3870 X2; you could even use AMD’s Crossfire.
Using the Radeon HD 4870 X2 full throttle with the right profile is what PCGH say, to get the most benefit all you need to do is rename the games single-player launch file “iw3sp.exe” to “iw3mp.exe”, now for me this is all baffling so we will say what the source has said. Single-player launch file “iw3sp.exe” to “iw3mp.exe” is basically the name of the multiplayer launch file of Call of Duty 4, make sure to create a backup of the original multi player file first.
This will enable the Crossfire AFR mode, apparently without this the Radeon HD 4870 X2 is not that much faster than a single GPU version, so with the above you will get 45 percent more fps in Call of Duty 4 depending on the settings and played level.
