Hands On: Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium Precision

I have tried a number of razors in my time and I have often felt that they have been taking a step back in how well they shave. Do not get me wrong all the latest razors do give you a good shave, but the blades do not seem to last as long as they used too.

I have been using the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium for a few months now and I have to say that it gives a better shave than the Gillette Fusion. However; I have often had trouble with keeping my sideburns trimmed nice after a shave. Thankfully Wilkinson has listened to us and have come up with a unique razor.

What they have is the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium Precision, this offers you a cheap way to shave and groom. The new razor is two razors in one; you have the standard four blade razor on one end with an electric razor on the other. The razor is also waterproof.

After spending a week with the Sword Quattro Titanium Precision, it has to be one of the best razors I have used in a long time. However I do sit there at nights missing my Gillette Excel.

Once you take your first shave with the Precision you will not be left with any irritation or stubble. On the back of the four blades razor is a single blade, this is perfect if you need to trim up below your bottom lip or under your nose, as you can often miss these places.

On the other end of this razor is an electric razor, this is just perfect for grooming. There are three height levels to choose from, depending how long you want to keep your designer stubble. The battery should last up to three months, once they run out you should always make sure that you replace them with the same quality.

To keep the trimming blade working efficiently you need to keep it oiled; just one drop of cooking oil should do just fine. As we mentioned above the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium Precision is waterproof, great if you have a mirror in the shower.

Overall the price of this razor is cheap, but it is the replacement blades that you often need a small loan for. If you were ever thinking of purchasing a razor, then the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium Precision would be the perfect choice.

What lengths does the trimming side offer?

Mine has died, after clogging in the protective cage (between the 4 blades and that area) caused me to tap it a lot to remove the clogging, I found the trimmer no longer works at all. I tried lubricating it and cleaning it, but it’s not even moving and clogged itself, it’s dead. also the button to remove the blade came off with the tapping. If I’m not supposed to tap it like that, how can I clean the blades and even shave? Not fit for purpose. Typical: marketing – done. Advertising – done. Massive profit margin – set. Actually designed and tested properly? NOT DONE. Stupid priorities, and do please return such products so the manufacturer gets the message!

It offers one trimming length, ‘very short’, and before you use it be sure to make sure the area you are trimming is already very short otherwise you will end up clogging up the trimmer and it will stop working. I don’t think the manuacturer has thought this one through properly.
