Are Google taking it too far with Street View?

It seems that Google is taking over the internet these days, but their latest idea, Street View hasn’t gone down too well with some parties.
Their plan with Street View is to take photos of millions of streets around the world, and integrate it with their popular Google Maps online. This has concerned many people, including privacy groups who think the idea is completely going against public privacy.
To respond to this, Google has stated that they have offered to blur faces and remove people from the images if they request it. A representative from Google added, “There’s been some misinterpretation concerning our response to the Street View suit… It should not be interpreted as a blanket statement on our views towards privacy. To be clear, Google respects an individual’s right to privacy. We have privacy protections built into all of our products. For example, we blur faces in Street View and we offer easy-to-use removal tools so users can decide for themselves whether or not they want a given image to appear in Street View. It is unfortunate the parties involved opted to pursue litigation instead of making use of these tools.”
It will be interesting to see how this idea plans out, and it will convince the public’s opinions, what do you think of Street View?
