Sidekick 2008 from T-Mobile

After all the hassle that has surrounded T-Mobile over what to call their latest Danger device, looks as though they have kept things simple and called it Sidekick 2008.
Sometime it is easier to keep things simple and that is just what T-Mobile has done. Do not mistake the Sidekick for something that your dad used to use a few years back.
The Sidekick 2008 is truly the real deal, thanks to a 400 x 240 WQVGA display and a 2 megapixel camera and video recorder. This cell phone also comes with Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP; extra storage is available thanks to a microSD slot.
T-Mobile has said that the Sidekick 2008 is the successor to the iD spiritual however; it looks as though it could be closer to the LX.
The Sidekick 2008 should be able to shift a good number of units; the $149.99 asking price on a two-year contract will help to do that.

So what does the lx have that this doesnt?
The new sidekick 2008 can do everything the LX can. ( + a 2 megapixel camera) It’s also made by Sharp, unlike the Sidekick Slide which is Motorola. The difference is size and price. The LX has a much larger screen, but therefore is ultimately bulkier. The 2008 is sleek and fits in your front jean pocket without looking like you’re carrying a thermos. It retails for $100 less than the LX, which in my mind seals the deal. I’m not sure if the LX has stereo bluetooth but the 2008 definitely does.
I’ve handeled both, and owned an LX. I would take the 2008 over it anyday.
So does anyone know if your able to watch you tube videos on the new sidekick 2008?

I just recently purchased the 2008…and I love it! I have never had a phone like this before. My boyfriend has the t-mobile dash, but as soon as he saw my phone and played around with it a little, he said it was better than his dash! I love all the features it has, my favorite is the 2.0mp camera. I have two kids, so as a mom I love to keep pictures of my daughters on my phone and the screen on this phone is amazing!! if you don’t have the sk08 i really think you should have one!
