For a while now there have been a number of conflicting reports as to what will power the Audi RS4 and RS5. It looks as though the guys over at Fourtitude will be able to stop all the rumors, as they have learned that the cars will use a V8 engine.
Fourtitude have spoken to their sources, they have learned that the Audi RS4 will use the 4.2-liter FSI V8. This powerful engine will also be mated to the RS5.
Both the RS4 and RS4 are undergoing tests in Germany and the U.S. It is rumored that the engine will be able to produce around 450bhp.
The 4.2-liter FSI V8 will feature Audi’s Valvelift system. Fourtitude have said that they will not be surprised to see this engine in a revised R8
