Star Trek Online: On Sony PS3, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii?

The Star trek Universe has many fans and they embrace every new TV Show, movie or game that’s created for this world. Today we hear that the worst kept secret massively multiplayer online role-playing game has been saved.
This MMORPG game is based on Star Trek and will be developed with Cryptic Studios since Perpetual closed down last year. We have been told that “Star Trek Online” will be made for PC and console formats.
Now just what games consoles do they mean: Sony PS3, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii?
It could be all the formats. But would gamers want another Star Trek game? We remember the last Star Trek game on the Xbox 360 the graphics were a joke.
The new Star Trek Online will let gamers take the role as a starship captain for The Klingons or the Federation. The fun starts when you can train a crew, recruit new members and customize your ship before entering space battles.
As a Star Trek fan, this game will be hard to resist. It will be set in a time after all existing Star Trek TV shows and movies.
There will be a fight over publishing Star Trek Online because publishers know this is a guaranteed earner of a game.
If you want to see a gameplay video then you can by visiting Las Vegas on August 10 for the annual Star Trek convention.

It would be the best choice to made this MMO for the Wii. Because the Wii has the only controller that is capable of an MMO and the Wii has the biggest userbase by far.
Keri, did you forget that the Wii has no real online support? I think that is an important component of an MMO. Are you going to need a “friend code” for every person you can interact with? How about the fact that most people who have a Wii are 14 or younger and probably don’t know Star Trek, or 65 and older and not capable of playing that kind of game? Sorry, but of the three current gen consoles the Wii will be the least likely to get it, as with most decent games. I own both the Wii and PS3, but on Wii any game without Mario, Link, or Samus in it is most likely garbage shovelware or mini-games. Hell, even some games WITH Mario in it are garbage shovelware or mini-games.
I’m 15 and I LOVE STAR TREK and there I know about 50 people my age that loves the series
WII IS ALL ABOUT ONLINE SUPPORT! IT’S MORE ONLINE COMPATIBLE THAN BOTH X-BOX 360 AND PS3.
I have been a loyal fan of PS3 ‚ PS2‚ & PS1 and i can say nintendo is well known for younger fan base. Not to mention their last system didn’t fair to well against the competition. In turn they had to run to microsoft for a bailout!!! So in my opinion if you own a Wii its probably because you couldn’t afford a real console.:(
Maybe for shooting but that’s about the only thing the Wii is good for. I have an Xbox 360 and a PS3 and the controls are the same. To Steve Your right I’m 14 and the only reason if love star trek is because of my Dad and Because of Enterprise.
They did post a few days ago that there trying to make it so the PC, Xbox 360 And PS3 will share servers.

Yes Im getting it on my PS3, Xbox 360, And Pc Because U Should Be Able To Play Together On The Same Server.
I think GAMERS (ie ME!!!) want MORE Star Trek Games especially ones like this… like have you seen their web site IT LOOKS AMAISING!!!!!!
Personally would have been good on PC due to the ability of more options to interact but down from there for me would be PS3 only due to thats what i have lol .. so don’t go on about how another console is better becasue i don’t care
i hope they make the MMO 18+ and try there best to stop the 15 14 year olds from playing the game for many reasons
1. every mmo i have ever played its the kiddys that reck the gameplay after ofcourse the goldfarmers
2. they seem to have a problem working with people becasue there out to show how LEET/1337 they are to all the NOOBS
3. in todays age gaming online is made up of alot more adults now then kids (i class kids 18 and under / can’t goto a pub then your a kid!) and shocking above that there starting to be the same amount of woman in gaming now as men lol i think thats impressive too !
and before the kids get there nickers in a bunch i am talking as a hole not just a few ! so if your a good mature young player blame the moron kids that are giving you a bad name
U really think it being mature would make me not play it, and it gets gayer with more options.
well if its been rated mature and you’r under the age limit and your parents buy you they game then they are just as immature, and irresponsible as you are, and the more options the better…
no ofcourse not just making it mature lowers the moron kids that play from what i have seen
for example if you don’t cause waves you play just like the rest of us but if you do casue waves and get noticed and found to be under the mature age for the game good by account thats where its good ! but also ofcourse the game has to be doing well money wise other wise they just don’t care and take money from a 2 month old baby if they could lol
