COD4 and Civilization No Sony PS3 trophies: How do you feel?

I am very suprised by this decision, especially for Call of Duty. It has to be the biggest online title for the PS3, and fans would love for it to keep up with the latest updates. Most of us were very disappointed that they decided not to add “rumble” support, now no trophies is even worse. I guess there is not much reason for them to try to keep us happy, considering they already have our money. I guess we probably won’t be getting in-game music capability added either. They will probably add all these features into COD5 in order to try and force us to make the switch, but most of us are tired of WWII games.

surely it wouldnt be that hard to add trophy support to COD4?? its not as if they have to go through the whole game and figure out what would give u a trophy. just use the same as the achievements on the xbox360 version!!

Not a big deal. They didn’t have trophies when the games were purchased, so how can anyone complain if they aren’t added afterwards.

I think its funny how sony contines to say that the ps3 is the best console on the market. In ways it is but they need to be more independant. The took the wii’s controler some what, and now stealing the xbox 360′s achievement system.

how can you say sony is the only copier xbox is a stealer of all ideas they took buzz, singstars from sony ,and nintendo’s avatars and channels also their controler layout from the dreamcast. Not to mention they have to buy game exclusivity notice they are the only ones that have to throw money at developers.

PS3 trophies will do fine its more of a future thing the only game that need them now are their exclusive titles like warhawk, Drake, Hotshots golf, ect…

man i know from first that cod 4 will not have trophies

what u expect from infinity ward…….. they didnt even release a patch for the dualshock 3….. u expect them 2 give out trophies……. HA

This is an infinity ward issue not a sony issue. They have stated on their COD4 forum they are not putting trophies on COD4 as they have not got the time with new projects. As meniotned by others, this is teething, new games will support this and we we all stop playing COD4 as IW have shown little interest in supporting it on the PS3 anyway.

The trophy system will come into it’s own once ‘HOME’ is realeased.. then the PS3 will become the best and most original online community for gamers. Personally I cannot wait!!

Once Socom is out COD is traded anyway. I can’t stand that game anymore, with the open mic and host leaving all the time. It was only a hit do to lack of options.

i think the trophie hing isny tht bad an idea but whats the point, sure is an acheivment program , but every1 can still get the same trophies as every1 else, just like on cod4 every1 is level 55 on gold, wow thts gd every1 is the same,

i think tht they should hold comps,. and give out trophies tht way , like bst player of , and worst player , loads of different one, with trials so no life wasters can go and play amatuers and wipe there asses ,

I look forward to earning trophies and it is a little disappointing that some of my favorite games won’t have them but there are plenty of games coming to satisfy the trophy itch. I still like my old games, even though I probably won’t play them as much when I have games that give me trophy support. I have already revised my want list to exclude games that don’t give trophies. If I still want a game that doesn’t give me trophies I will probably wait until it is in the discount rack.

I totally agree with you mate they should just use the 360 achievments it would make it much easier for themselfs.
