We see it all the time, whenever some news is reported on Product Reviews, N4G, Digg, Game Trailers and other sites; gamers have to run each games console down.
Why do some gamers have to dump on systems? The Xbox 360 has its advantages over the Sony PS3 and also the other way round; the Nintendo Wii makes up in gameplay what it lacks in graphics.
We can understand why some people will hate a certain system, I personally had RROD on my Xbox 360 and although that was a downer, you cannot knock how good Microsoft’s software, in game chat and other cool features are.
Why do you think we see gamers compelled to run down another games system that they may have not even owned?
Just looking at a post yesterday about a guy called Chris who CLAIMED to have worked on the first Xbox 360 prototype and has now switched to the Sony PS3, while this is a rumor about why RROD may have happened, the comments were taken over by console bashing.
It’s getting much more common today for this type of console bashing to happen between gamers, lets try and keep things more clean from now on. Have you had enough of people just running down consoles for the fun of it?

It all starts when someone reads a comment that they don’t like. Even if the comment is true and even backed up with facts it seems to hit a sour note and then the flame wars begin.
I absolutely hate the flaming and running down that happens whenever there is ANY mention of almost anything. Just look at kotaku - after a story is published there the fanboys and the naysayers (they arent the same group - some people will just dump down on anything they don’t ‘get’).
What a waste of fanboy energy. None of these crappy new consoles compare to the Atari 2600 anyway. Focus people!
okay I have only ever had platstation 1,2,3. Never an xbox or the 360 most of my cousins however do I’ve been going over there since halo 3 came out and play big LAN games and I was always impressed with what the 360 had to offer except for last week when 1 of the 360 got the RROD that sucked but whatever my ps3 has overheated it happens. But then when my family comes over and plays my ps3 they are takin back of the beauty of the all black system sitting there looking all badass & jus saying black is more badass then white ex. (The Dark Knight) but that’s jus color. But along with that they can’t get enough of how cool of a system the ps3 is they are impressed with some of the ps3’s advantages over the 360 as I am impressed with the advantages the 360 has over the ps3. The 1 thing that stands out to them that they love about the ps3 is when I put in 300 on blu ray on my 50 inch 1080p plasma they are blown away. The ps3 running on full HD on movies or games can’t be beat in my opinion but the elite makes up for it with its HD and high quality games. If it was up to me I would like to have a 360 jus not next to my all black entertainment system. I honestly believe I would play the ps3 a lil more right now because of mgs4 but that will change from time to time depending on what’s hott right now. So 360 I respect u and the great things u offer and u should respect the ps3 for what it offers gamers as well.
Video games are stupid.
Because in today’s world the term different strokes for different folks doesn’t apply. I think it’s the best therefore it is the best for everyone. Wouldn’t it be boring if everyone liked the same things, did the same things, looked the same way, oh wait it is starting to look like that, seen anybody with tatoo’s lately.
My Mustang is better than Your Datsun. My Sportsteam is better than Your Sportsteam. America’s Army is better than the Chinese Army…the list goes on and on. It’s human nature people and not newsworthy.
Being negative is easy, especially in the anonimous online world. I favor the PS3, but now watch how many people call me an idiot and offer proof because I misspelled anonymous. Being negative is not new to gaming. Let’s talk about Obama or McCain. Let’s talk about Macintosh or Windows. Let’s talk about which pop star is hotter. Let’s talk about Jeff Gordon or Dale Ernhardt. Any of these or any number of other debates, especially online debates, will certainly get all the name calling and dumping on other people’s opposing opinions then they will any really insightful of interesting discussion.
“how good Microsoft’s software”
in what reality you think you are?
remember the vista
By the way, my comment is better then Bobs. He was just faster.
