With the current crisis on fuel it seems that more of us are now choosing to purchase smaller cars, and none are more popular than the 2008 smart fortwo pure. Do not think for one moment that just because it is a small car you are compromising your safety.
The 2008 smart fortwo comes packed with a range of safety features, the ones that you have come to expect from luxury vehicles.
These small little fuel-efficient cars have a tridion safety cell; this has been specifically designed for the new Smart Car so that larger passengers are kept safe.
Other safety features include four airbags, anti-lock braking system (abs), electronic stability program (espĀ®) and a host more.
The base model of the 2008 smart fortwo pure comes with 5-speed automated manual transmission; this has manual or automatic mode2-spoke leather steering wheel and central remote locking system as standard.
According to Autopia, Mercedes are also planning on a full-electric Smart ForTwo by 2010; let us hope that they are able to offer a greater range than other full-electric vehicles on the market at the moment.

This is great news for smart car fans!
An electric smart will give Americans another option to choose. Hopefully more electricity produced by wind and solar will be available to make sure these new smart cars are truly “green”.
The good news for today is the smart 2008 has arrived in America to help combat the high cost of gasoline.
