Demand Five: Significant change to VOD

Five re-branded their video-on-demand service three weeks ago and now they are pushing ahead with the promotion of Demand Five.

The head of digital media for Five, Jonathan Lewis said that they “plan to make a significant change in the digital space over the coming months”.

VOD is becoming a competitive market with BT and also BBC iPlayer doing well, Five will need to add something extra to compete.

The current results are good for Demand Five; we are hearing that the websites visitor count has doubled since the re-branding. The new adverts are airing now on Five US, Fiver and Five.

Their video content aims to help the busy person catch-up with their favorite shows, these include and Home And Away, Neighbour and other free content. You also have the option to pay for video such as House and CSI.

    Demand Five - demanding more like - the adverts work fine, pity about the programmes - I won’t be bothering with it again, there’s no option for lesser definition when internet speeds are slow, very frustrating and time-wasting
