Sony PS3 Trophies: What games do you want support for?

When we first got the firmware update 2.40 for the Sony PS3, it was nice to see the XMB improvement and other features but the new feature I really wanted to test was support for Trophies on the Playstation 3.

With Super Stardust HD the main game for collecting trophies just now, it was a bit of a let down and at the same time exciting to want to get started at collecting them.

The PS3 has so many current games and future games that need Trophy support, these include MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Confrontation, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, NBA 09 and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

We know that Warhawk will be getting a patch to give the game Trophy support, but all this waiting is no fun when you can see a nice icon on the PS3 dashboard called “Trophies”.

The main game I want Trophies for is Call of Duty 4, we all love moving up the ranks and aiming for prestige 10 but Trophies will add another dimension to COD4.

While we know all games in the future will have Trophies, what current and future games do you want Trophy support for the most?

    i want folklore to get them so i finally have a reason to replay the game as the man.
    orange box because team fortress has no goals or ranking system it would give something to work for. and half life is huge im not gonna replay til episode 3 unless there is trophies
    ratchet and clank because its a huge game and its fairly easy a few challenging trophies would make it great
    of course id like all games to have them but they are the 3 games i want to have trophies

    The new update is just plain amazing. I don’t really have much to say about wanting new trophies just yet, though, I’m having so much bloody fun with MGS4 it’s crazy. This is my 3rd time beating the game and it’s still fun.

    Definitely GTA4. Rock Band would be cool, but we’ll probably just have to wait for Rock Band 2. Then again, they represent two-thirds of my PS3 collection, so I’m not the greatest source of an opinion on this issue (the other one is The Orange Box, and it’d be cool to get trophies but I’m in no rush to replay it all, maybe just for Portal and TF2?).

    Everything y’all said is good too. Trophies in downloadedbale games like Super Stardust and PAIN will boost sales, and I’d definitely be more willing to shell out $10 for a small game if it had trophies.

    burnout gets it tomorrow and i just purchased it today (not for trophies, been eyeing it for a while but for music ( no lavigne) ).

    Mainly gta4 because the music really grates and currently i can’t be bothered to complete it, the custom soundtracks feature would make it more enjoyable but i think for those who have got 100% on gta it might cheese them off. Pigeons anyone?

    i think all exclusives should have trophies. the problem for sony is that they are in no position to demand them from devs becuz they are losing the console race, unlike ms who can demand live/achievements in all games. its like sony is stuck – full trophy support puts them in contention with 360 but its not worth devs time cuz sony is losing to 360.

    Any and all of them. I can understand studios not wanting to go back and patching in trophies because they have new versions that should be out by the holiday season. I feel that there should be more support, yeah there was a slight week long flub with 2.4 but only having one game with trophy support 2 weeks in makes me a little sad. I don’t understand why the trophies, especially in games with some form of them already existing, haven’t patched and gotten us on our way to either replaying or rewarding us for our adventure.

    I wish Insomniac Games change their mind and include Trophy for Resistance: Fall of Man which is my favorite game of all times And Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Also i hope Konami adds Trophy for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Also hoefully SCEA wil add Gran Turismo 5: Prologue and the newest PSN games coming call Siren and many more Trophies.

    how come no one mentions GTA 4 its the only game that I would perfer to see some trophies in. I mean others are just exlusive which I wouldnt mind having trophies for but I mean come on. I wish all games supported trophies so that this wouldnt have been a big issue.

    I of course like to see Every Game receive Trophie Support. I mean how much could it cost the developer to take the current Achievements for all the Multiplatform 360 games and port them over to the PS3. It isn’t like they have to change any of the actions or names of the Achievements. Ya it would take Resources but it is all about showing support to the gamers. The Sad truth is that it is all about the $$$ and not the games. If Sony was paying them to add in these features we all know they would.

    - Heavenly Sword
    - Lair
    - GTA IV
    - MGS4
    - Ninja Gaiden Sigma
    - Stranglehold

    - Turok
    - Assassin’s Creed
    - Marvel Ultimate Alliance
    - The Godfather: Don’s Edition

    Yes I know all those games aren’t the best games around but are almost all in my Collection and as a gamer I want the most out of my games. The Sad truth is I probably won’t see any of these games ever get Trophie Support.

    COME ON DEVELOPERS HOW HARD IS IT TO PORT THE 360 ACHIEVEMENTS TO THE PS3???

    I love the fact that they included trophies for Uncharted…but i hope they add a trophie patch for Heavenly Sword,Bionic Cammando:Rearmed and of course the up and coming Bionic Cammando as well !!! ty

    Well first of all, whoever said the psp trophies that sync with the ps3 YES, that would be fking sweet.
    As for games I want to see have trophies.

    Socom Confrontation is said to have trophy support ;D
    Uncharted now has trophy support (non retroactive :’[)
    I’d like to see every PS3 game have trophies, if anything just difficulty trophies so you know who’s a total noob and died 50 times playing MGS on liquid easy, haha and then I could brag about my big boss emblem.

    Ultimately I think all PS3 games should support this feature, this is what’s going to keep gamers playing games, and maybe persuade other to pick up some older games. I hate to say, but I’m one of those who won’t pick up a game because it doesn’t support trophies.

    i play Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots every day it really fun with trophy it will be super fun so please add trophy to it…

    Please, pretty please… Folklore needs it! This game is so wonderful, magical… there’s so many updates, extra costumes, extra missions and yet no trophy support…

    Making a trophy support for one single… does it take very long?. I would think not but seriously… it’s the only game I would ask for trophy support. That and Valkyria Chronicles. Replaying the game doesn’t matter. I would gladly do it again!

    same thing here, I don’t see the reason as to why the first games on the ps3 wouldn’ have trophies. They should all be supported. It just makes sense. You get attached to a new genre of gameplay, and then find out that one of your favorite game in your library is “never” going to have them…

    If PSP has trophies that syncs with the ps3, I think I’ll just put my little xbox 360 to the dustcan.

    The strength of sony comes from the duality of the PSP and PS3, so come on Sony… you could be so much more if you make those kind of decisions. See, you make trophy patches, I play less Xbox 360 games, I buy more sony games. Who’s winning? You, me and everyone that thinks like me… and that’s a lot of people!
