This year though is a different story altogether, it seems as if Sony are a bit reluctant to launch as many new games as they used too, many gamers see this as a sign that the Playstation Portable is about to be cut. However Sony Director of Hardware Marketing John Koller has been speaking to IGN, where he strongly denied that the PSP was toast.
He went on and explained to IGN that the PSP is a high-growth business for Sony; he also said that the product is highly demanded. Koller also said that the PSP is red hot, but the thing that was slowing things down for them was from publishers. It seems as if publishers were having trouble publishing for the PSP, many of them do not know who is purchasing the handheld and who owns them.
To ease people’s minds, it looks as if the Sony PSP is here to stay, Koller mentioned that there are a number of new games coming up, some of which the publishers have not yet mentioned. It seems that the future is bright for PSP owners.
