New Google Tool Expected Today: helps advertisers reach target audience

The new Google software will consist of measurement tools that will apparently be free to advertisers and their agencies. Google are not the first to offer such services, established leaders Nielsen and ComScore will be the direct competitors to Google’s new tool.
As usual it looks like Google will have the upper hand, this will be thanks to Google giving information from data collected from Web servers and this will be much more detailed than Nielsen and ComScore’s selective surveys or customer panels.
Google knows how to get information from peoples Internet behavior like no other company and they will now use this ability to help advertisers. There will be reasons for giving this new tool for free and it will be in the hope that Google will attract new advertising business.
The news of Google’s new tool has sent shares of ComScore falling 6.1 percent or $1.69 in the moments after trading opened. Would you use Google’s new tool?
Personally I find it great that brands like Google love bringing us new tools for free, even if it means they make more money on advertising, it’s a win for them and the advertisers get a much better and not to mention free service.
