The event was held at in Times Square, New York and the First-place winner was Katrina Chalifoux, her wedding dress won the Cheap and Chic Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest. This saw her take a prize of $1,000 and amazingly the dress did look like it was made from fabric, although it was made from seven rolls of plain old toilet paper.
The top three dresses will be displayed around the world over the next year at different Ripley locations. People who saw the dresses could not believe that the paper from a bathroom made such a stunning dress, this shows those that are on a budget that a dress can be made on the cheap and still look amazing.
While the dress looks amazing, can you imagine at a real wedding getting one little pull or rip, the dress would be history and if it rained…imagine that. The second place went to Terro Glover of Marlin, Texas and Ann Lee, of Honolulu, Hawaii, held the third place.
Would you ever make a dress for your wedding day and could you wear a dress made of paper on your big day? You can view a closer look at the toilet paper wedding dress on NY Daily News
