As with all rumours, some are just mere speculation and others turn out to be concrete information. The latest news regarding the hugely anticipated Resident Evil 5, is that Microsoft has reportedly offered a sum of money to Capcom for exclusive rights to the game.
It is unclear just what exclusively they intend to secure but this latest news is sure to ignite all the Resident Evil fans out there who are waiting on updates for this game. This could turn out to be of particular importance especially with E3 coming up and with Capcom sure to announce details of one of their best selling franchises. If the rumours appear to be true, then it seems as if Microsoft is following the same pattern they followed when they gained exclusive material for GTA IV in the form of episodes.
I can predict Capcom to make some interesting announcements following this latest rumour, so stay tuned to here more news, if these news do appear to be true, it will be interesting to find out how Sony respond to these rumours as they surely wouldn’t want to concede another defeat to Microsoft. What are your views on this matter?

wow nice news i will buy xbox 360 so i think what is microsoft doing it is right ..yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh xbox
When programmers choose to make an exclusive for artistic and developmental reasons, or because they are published by either M$ or $ony, then I’m more than happy with that. When they pay for dominance I think it can only hurt the consumer.
Capcom denied it it will be multiplaform with better frame rates on PS3.
Res Evil has always been on a PS along a long history and have helped Capcoms sales, its quite insane to think they would now turn their back on a more powerful machine because of a $ value. The PS3 as Ivan stated will see Res Evil 5 running on it but not only that it will be running faster. Capcom are stating it will be over all the consoles but i still cannot see how the Wii will handle it! Roll on Res Evil 5 i for one cant wait to see what it brings for PS3 sales after the damage MGS4 has done to 360 sales!
