Microsoft will launch Xbox 720 before Sony PlayStation 4: is it a mistake?

It is no secret that Microsoft wants to be the first to bring out the newest in the next-generation games console. They were the first with the first of the next-gen consoles, the Xbox 360 and they now wish to do this again with the Xbox 720. Many believe that Microsoft made a huge mistake rushing the production of the Xbox 360, the company has had a string of troubles with the console, but it now seems as if they are finally on top of these problems.
Xbox 360 boss Robbie Bach, has been speaking in an interview with Venture Beat, he said that if you asked him whether being first to the market with Xbox 360 was the right decision, he’d say “definitely yes,” and the platform holder has a desire to do it again with the next console. He also added “The last cycle for the original Xbox was a little shorter than typical (at four years). We started way late.” He then went on to say “If you take the question of whether it was the right thing to try to be first with Xbox 360, the answer to that is definitely yes. It has given us a leg up in a number of places that are super important.”
When asked on his expectation for the next console’s release plans, he said it was “too early to tell.” Many people will be thinking that Microsoft is involved in a race against Sony so that they can launch the Xbox 720 before the PS4, but Sony have stated recently that they are in no rush to launch the PS4, so Xbox might just have the Xbox 720 ready for us by 2011. But this might just play in to Sony’s hands once again.

I hope they give us more time, we just bought this console and the Wii last year, and we don’t even have the ps3 yet! I think the game consoles should be every 7 years instead of every 5 years.
well, i think that microsoft will make a mistake if they create the new xbox early. i ll give an example to you. in 2004 when halo 2 came, the gamers had only 1 year to enjoy it koz in 2005 xbox 360 came up.(ok some of them continou to play halo2). so you see. xbox has 4-5-6 years life. but ps has 10or 11 years. thats good for them. as i said before microsoft will make a mistake with the new xbox. and ill tell you and some reasons. the most importan reason is that halo 3 will stop earlier. thats not good koz the fans of xbox buy it yet. and it is only in 2 months 1 year old!!! just like halo2!!! and you know then… halo is the best game of the world and you guys all know it. dont believe the others<> its a shit man. it is decided halo is the best game and nothing will stop it . no sony no nintendo no nothing.!!!!!!!!!!!! im a fan of xbox and i wont stop to be koz microsoft is the best. sorry about that but all the ps series SUCK. and nintendo too.
I think microsoft is making a huge mistake trying to be the first one on the market again. It might be an advance RROD and i’d be happy with that. But all jokes aside, if MS makes a new product then how will they get the techno to build games for it? I mean if this “new” xbox gets out, and no blue-ray or anything like the PS3 has (go sony!!!) then it will be a huge waste of the consumers money and the developers time. So microsoft, don’t try and get it out too early without Blue-Ray or anything like the PS3 has or you’re next product is going to be a total waste. Just look at the PS3 and it’s game-in-the-works MAG (Massive Action Game). Defiantly better than Halo and better tan gears of war.
how much will it cost and will the 360 games work on the 720?
I was just wonderin cause ive bin readin and apparently the three consoles nintendo xbox and sony will soon become two in a couple more generations of consoles and apparently sony is going to be the one to drop out of the race?
is this true because their company has the least money nintendo has the most money through consoles and gaming by far but ms has the most money from electronics through the computing industry and sony is fucking up with everything else electronic except the ps3
man i’m really sick of this console shit seriously who give a fuck if 360 is better or play station3 is better just pick one and play it depends on what you like and on your taste so fuck fan boys who just speak crap out of fan boy websites or videos to support there fucking beloved console does Sony and micro soft think we got cash to pay for every new next-gen bullshit i haven’t got play station 3 yet or even a 360 and they worry about being the number one console fist it was for entertainment now look how it became i ain’t now fan boy or something but micro soft is really playing dirty out there and always keep whining if you add up all what u need for 360 it will be 690 $ while play station 3 has it all and its 600 $ so get the cash and get your ass over the store and just pick one and play with it no need for console wars shit .
I hope they have a breakthrough and have it out by 2011 i just recently got my 360 but still i hope to see a newer (hopefully much better) xbox coming out because if one comes out better games will also come, although i think they will have to add alot more gb just considering that some of the new computers have up to 3tb of memory with upgrades and 1.5 without them.
