With $699 you can get the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro version that’s packed with features, these include the ability to convert various video file types to Flash video, it comes bundled with Adobe Presenter which was once a separate $500 application, and you also get a 3D mapping overlay so you can create PDF maps.
If the Pro version is a bit much for you, then you can get Standard for just $299 and with it comes the cool new PDF Portfolio feature. For a little more you can buy the $449 Pro, this adds additional options to Portfolio but has much less than the $699 professional extended software.
Some users will be happy with the standard version and this comes with one of the best additions to Acrobat in years, the new Portfolio feature. This addition gives you the “ability to very easily create a suite of related files and document, this is complete with their own intro screen”. What’s also cool is the fact that this Portfolio can be read by the free Adobe Reader 9.
Now that you have support for Flash video in Acrobat 9, you able to integrate the Portfolio with an .swf Flash application. If you go for the Pro Extended or Pro versions, then you will love the ability to compare two .PDF files and have the image and text that’s different highlighted for you. Now you just have to decide how much you want to spend.
