The Magellan 3250 features a massive 6 million points of interest; it accepts voice commands and provides voice directions. For real-time traffic information the device has a traffic receiver built in, you’re also able to access AAA TourBook information. The 3250 will cost you around $400.

If text-to-speech is your thing, then you will want a unit that that announces both distance and street names, the Garmin nuvi 350 does this and a lot more. This device also has a receiver for traffic information and can display two and three-dimensional maps. Expect to pay around $350 for the nuvi 350.

One of the biggest brands in the GPS world is TomTom and they are known for balance of simplicity and features. The TomTom One XL S gives you great screen clarity thanks to its large 4.3-inch touch screen, it also features a real-time traffic service and for those that love to share, you can share your maps with other people. The XL S will cost around $350.
It does not matter if you’re on a budget or have plenty of money to spend, always shop around to get the best deal.
