The best services these days are made by big brands coming together in a joint effort to give more to the consumer, this is just what Research In Motion (RIM) and Microsoft announced today as they combine services to give BlackBerry smartphones something extra. Just moments ago in a press release, it was said that Microsoft Windows Live services like Hotmail and Messenger will help enhance the communications experience on BlackBerry phones, the agreement with Microsoft Corp. means that users can communicate in real time using push technology for an amazing mobile communications experience.
BlackBerry customers will only have to enter their user and password information once and then from that moment they will be able to access their Windows Live Messenger and Hotmail accounts. Its great to see RIM looking at more ways to help their customers have more communications options, in a world that is more about global communication than ever before. Other features in this new partnership include the ability to use more than 60 emoticons, send and receive pictures and files, showcase their Display Picture (Avatar), save conversations, customize status messages, send instant messages and join group chats, use BlackBerry “push” technology for automatic message delivery and message synchronization.
With more than 430 million people around the world using Windows Live to keep in touch, this is a great feature on Blackberry phones, that could help give the brand an edge. Do you own a Blackberry and would these new features benefit you?
