AT&T First for new RIM Blackberry Bold 9000

AT&T are a name that seems to get all the best deals when it comes to cell phones, first they had the Apple iPhone exclusive rights and today we are hearing AT&T will be first to get the new RIM Blackberry Bold 9000. The carrier has reported to be the “exclusive carrier for the Bold in the US” in a release on MSN Money. The article not only talked about AT&T getting the deal, but also on how Research In Motion’s share prices have gone to an “all-time high” today, great news for the brand and thanks to the 3G Blackberry Bold, now they have their foot in the 3G door before Apple.

The RIM Bold is the first major new BlackBerry model in over a year, shares in RIM rose 4.8 percent to $139.10, that’s an increase of $6.33. The current BlackBerry Curve is nice, but the new Bold has twice the screen resolution and the main reason AT&T are getting the new phone is because they are the only U.S. 3G network that’s compatible with the first model.

While we would love to give you a price, it has not been announced yet. We expect this information to come sooner rather than later. The Blackberry Bold will be released sometime in the summer; we will give you more as we get the information. Are you more into RIM or Apple?
