The New Nintendo Wii Channel and improvements

When you turned on your Nintendo Wii today, like me you may have seen something new. That’s right, today the Nintendo Channel is now live and you can get access to game demos you can download to your DS, although we only counted eight when we looked. There has not been much hype about this new channel. It is something that will improve the Wii greatly, also something that Japan has had for around a year.

Now having the power to download Nintendo DS demos has made a big change for us, my daughter has a DS and would love to try out new games before buying them. Not sure why it took them a while to bring this out, thought about that a while ago when downloading a Sony PSP game from the Playstation 3.

The Nintendo Channel also has information on new games that are based on recommendations, I am guessing this is decided based on the feedback people leave about the game, although you cannot see any game reviews that people leave. You can also watch a range of videos as well. We have heard other Nintendo Wii users wanting more than just a game recommendation; they want full game reviews on the Nintendo Channel.

In what ways do you think the new Nintendo Channel could be improved?
