I was born in 1977 and can remember using the Rubik’s Cube as a child, although I also can remember this toy being popular for nearly every year after its invention. The Rubik’s Cube is said to be the world’s best selling toy with over 300,000,000 Rubik’s Cubes and imitations sold around the world.
When I first got my iPhone, it was a disappointment not to see lots of games installed from default, but as the application development for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch is amazing, many games have been launched since. The video below shows a new game in development for the iPod and iPhone, its based on a Rubik’s Cube and lets you shake the phone to shuffle the squares, also using the touch screen you can try and get all the sides correct (I have never done this on a real Rubik’s Cubes).
What I find strange about this game is it does not look like you can see the other sides; you really do need to rotate the whole cube to play properly. As the games in development, I am guessing this will be added.
