$15.47 for an Xbox 360 HD DVD drive

We have followed the HD DVD vs Sony Blu-ray debate for a long time and while many HD-DVD follows wanted their favorite format to win, it was obvious it was going to lose, even if it may have been the better format. Now with HD DVD truly dead, what happens to all the stock of players that stores have?

The answer is simple, you will see really cheap deals on anything HD DVD and when the price is very low its still worth buying them as you will get your moneys worth, although not everyone will agree on that. Today we are hearing that Xbox 360 HD DVD drives are going for just €9.99 in Ireland, yes I said that price right.

When we heard that the drives were selling for $49.99, it amazed many, but €9.99 works around at around $15.47 for an Xbox 360 HD DVD drive. Would you believe you also get a Media Center remote in that price as well? If they do not clear all the stock, I am guessing they will be giving them away free next with other products, and with all the HD DVD movies already out, this could be worth buying.
