Pole dancing coming to Nintendo Wii for keep fit

By: Daniel Chubb | May 5, 2008 | 13 Comments

The Nintendo Wii is great for both adults and children, but to start with it did have an image that was more for the younger gamer. So hearing that a Pole dancing game could be coming to Nintendo Wii, can make parents a little worried. The British-owned Peekaboo Pole Dancing have said the game they want developed will be for fitness reasons and fun.

If we can get passed the seedy background of pole dancing then it does sound a good idea, many ladies have poles in their kitchens for fun and fitness, having a game like this can prove as successful as Wii Fit. A spokesman for the company said “It will be about fun and exercise for a new generation.”

The Nintendo Wii Fit comes with a balance board, so we would imagine an interactive pole would feature in the pole dancing game. We also hear that pole-dancing classes have been really popular in the U.S. and Europe, and this includes men and woman. Pole dancing is said to be a very good form of aerobic exercise, it can help in burning calories and tone your body. If the game is to go ahead it will need Nintendo approval.

Would you like to improve your pole dancing skills on the Nintendo Wii?

They have to learn somewhere, it’ll sure as heck widen the wii’s audience

    Hahaha, yes. Very yes.
Peekaboo Pole Dancing is already a popular game/toy/hen-night present, why not make it a videogame? So long as it’s properly restricted to at least a 15 in the UK, although really the cert should be 16 considering the legal age of consent.

why not i think. its good for your health and lots of women now do it for a hobby, who aren’t hookers.

why stop there? how ’bout Wii lap dancing game or Wii striptease? folks who enjoy smut have a right to have fun, don’t they?

My goal with my kids was to get them a good education and keep them off the pole. You dirt balls sure make that more dificult than I thought. Anything for a buck but no class.

What a shame and I thought the wii was doing so well. Looks like they’ve run out of ideas. Don’t think we’ll be buying it. Although we did enjoy wii fit. If they can’t think og anything better then this the’re in big trouble.

why stop there? how about a Wii lap dancing game or Wii striptease? There are thousands of gadgets to buy in the sex industry why should the makers of Wii loose out to this lucrative market? Gadgets are not only for children, after all.

For anyone who’s too oblivious to actual notice: This game is made by a Third-Party, NOT by Nintendo. Almost any company with the money can make a game for the Wii, so don’t worry about any real companies “running out of ideas”.

I THINK ITS GREAT… HOW MUCH FUN WOULD THIS BE PLAYING WITH THE FRIENDS.. LOVE IT!!!!

i think alot of you are very narrow minded i teach pole dancing and it is a great way to stay healthy and in shape it doesnt have to be associated with stripping, i dont get how it will work with an interactive pole though.obviously if this game did even arrive on the market it will be aged classified like all games and to all the people banging on about keeping their children safe and stuff, maybe they should actually look at the violent games their kids are already most likely to have.
