Nintendo Wii Fit Challenge: How much weight you lost? 3lbs in 1 week

By: Daniel Chubb | May 2, 2008 | 24 Comments

The Nintendo Wii Fit has amazed most people that have used it and this is not for just losing weight, people have gained a lot more insight into their body, posture and worked muscles they never knew they had. Now that its been around a week since we did our first hands-on with the Nintendo Wii Fit, we should take a look at the results in weight loss and balance.

When we took some photos of the box, contents and Balance Board the first impressions were good. After one hour of personally using Wii Fit I was impressed even more by the amount you can do in this relatively low priced package of Wii Fit and the Balance Board. On the next day of using Nintendo’s new fitness gadget, I found working out for just one hour the day before had not even touched the amount of exercises you can do, so I moved onto more advanced Yoga and Muscle exercises, these worked parts of my body I have never worked out in this way before.

It amazed me that just using one simple device can achieve so much; it’s not just the technology but also the personal help from the Wii Fit trainer that helps improve technique and fitness. One week on I have lost 3lbs, quit the gym and feel much more relaxed and an improvement of fitness and breathing already.

Last night a member of the family popped in for 5 minutes and as I told them how good the Wii Fit was, they laughed and said “What that piece of plastic?” oh so little they know. This shows, that until you have used Nintendo’s Wii Fit, you have not got a clue.

We bought a Wii Fit two weeks ago and I love this thing! I have lost 4 lbs in two weeks, doing 30 to 60 minutes per day. I have unlocked all of the games and now I spend most of the time doing “Free Run” and “Free Step” while watching the news. I would have been watching the news anyway, but now I am exercising instead of sitting on the sofa with the remote control It has so many little extras that inspire you to go on, like the day I reached ten hours of exercise total and my “Fit Bank” turned gold and sparkly and it congratulated me. By the way, I’m not on a diet, but you think twice before eating junk after exercising. Also, I really like the fact that you can put a four-digit lock on your information so no one else can see your numbers. They just see a chart that shows your weight going up or down – no actual numbers.

I just brought a wii fit 5 days ago. I really like the yoga – it’s just as good as when I went to actual yoga classes, only I can do it in the comfort of my own lounge. I’ve lost 2lbs in 5 days (which your body can fluctuate anyway)…but I’m aiming to lose 5lb in the first 2 weeks to get to a bmi just above 22.

Will update when I’ve had it longer.

I have just bought the Nintendo wii. I love the idea that is it play insted of the word exercise. It is fun and before I know it Iam sweating buckets and laughing my head off I have not done any excerise where and am laughing through the pain. I woke up in the morning and I was in serve exercise workout muscle pain. It felt good. My guess is that if I do an hour a day. I will get rid of my bulk belly in no time. I am in love. I think it will be a little addictive. I have to watch myself. It has taken me 10 years to put on .

I’m only a teenager, and I bought a Wii and a Wii Fit simply to help reach my goal of losing weight.
I’ve had it for a while, but I just opened the box a week ago. I’ve never enjoyed exercising, and I hate running.
However, I’ve lost 4 pounds this week, and I’m not on a diet. It makes you aware of your posture, your balance, and your overall strength. Although you can lose weight and not change your diet, it makes you really self concious about your eating. Also, it doesn’t use numbers to make you feel down on yourself, but rather it shows your progress through graphs.
    I LOVE WII FIT.

I bought Wii Fit October of 2008. I first Wiied in at 174 lbs.
By January 2009 I weighed 154.5 lbs. Then my Wii board broke. I was finally able to replace it on the 26th of May. My weight had crept back up to 157.3 while I was sitting around doing nothing. But I have only skipped Wii Fit one day since I got my new board and I am down to 153.2 Lbs. What is that 4 pounds in a week?! Wii Fit rocks and the best part is I don’t have to expose my pale skin to the damaging rays of the sun to exercise. I am well on my way to my goal of 147 by July 9th. I’ll be visiting an old friend I haven’t seen in 10 years and I want her to be impressed.

I spent a week at my moms and I played it Everyday Ate fruits and veggies and a bag of pop corn and a can of soup w. cheese everyday (except for that one day I ate only oreos :D ) But I lost 15 pounds on the wii. Ive got a good 70 pound sI need to lose ( I had a baby 5 months ago) I Usually do the free run. it was nice when I opened the 30 minutes up. I do about an hour of that. Its really nice because Then I dont have to drag my wonderful baby out into the -5 degree weather and the 6 feet of snow we have on the ground to run. YAY wii fit.. I hope you really help me :D

I did the wii fit 60 day challenge and lost 11lbs in two months!! I do the wii fit yoga and strength training for an hour every other day! SO IMPRESSED!!! love love love my wii fit! 4 lbs to go for summer!!

some of us cant run. I have compartment syndrome and i dont go to the gym bc ppl stare (i have fibromyalgia and move awkward). I dont want to die because im fat. The wii fit gives me a chance to do low intensity exercise at home without feeling uncomfortable. you dont loose the weight fast but you do loose it. Others use the wii because they maybe too heavy to run without injury or be too self conscious to go out. Dont judge. i used to be a runner and i miss it terribly. Kudos to you on your success without the wii.

i started using the wii fit in january and i have lost 2 stone i think its great as i dont like doing thing in front of people because of my weight i would recomend it to everyone.

its really great to read all these blogs about how well everyone is doing, i borrowed my board from a friend on a whime that it wouldnt be for me, here i am 107 days later and 3 stone 5 lb lighter. My friend was insistant that i would get bored after the first month. Once the pounds started dropping off there was no way they were going back on. Its been emotional to say the least and ive had my ups and downs but all in all i think an hour a day for 6 days a week is not going to kill me, if anything its going to keep me going for them extra years that i need with my child. I wouldnt part with my wii fit for anything and its so much cheaper than the gym, It has my seal of approval
