Full Game or Demo? Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on Sony Playstation 3

When I went to buy Gran Turismo 5 Prologue from my local games store I knew that it will not have as many features as the so called “Full Game” that is due in 2009, but as I was paying for this game I would never class it as a demo of GT5. Now you would then think that the question of the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on Sony Playstation 3 being a demo or full game would never be raised. The fact is, it does and gamers are still not that clear about GT5 being a demo or full game.
The moment Gran Turismo 5 Prologue was released the sales of the Sony PS3 games console increased, so this is a popular game that people will buy a games system for which makes it seem like a full game. The lack of features like private online races, and damage make the game feel unfinished, if we had damage you would not be able to hit a car at 200MPH, stop dead and then overtake the car on the corner.
Would you want damage in next years Gran Turismo 5 and should Gran Turismo 5 Prologue owners get an add-on pack for the full game?
When looking at the game closer you can see its much more than a demo and more like a mini game (although it’s a big one with over 50 cars, 16 player online play and 10 times the cars in the 2009 version of GT5).
So with us using the words “Full Game” for the next version of GT5, does this make Prologue a demo that you pay for?

Preordered it months ago, and I’m happy that I did so. Whatever additions come in the full version are up to Polyphony Digital. I will not be angry if damage is excluded, as I know that Mr Yamauchi is a perfectionist and may put ‘too realistic’ a damage model in there. Either way, I love it. Can’t wait for the full version!

I was playing GT5P last night, and pondered this question.
I don’t need damage in my game. I use the game to polish driving skills and experience things I’d not be able to do IRL. If I want damage, I can always go out in the real world…
The only way I’d accept damage is if you could turn it on and off, and by going to your garage, any damage would be completely fixed at a minimal or no “cost”.
forza didn’t do the damage right. I would like the damage in GT5P if it’s done right and looks real. So far the game is great without damage
