Chris Moyles and Russell Brand nominated in this year’s Sony radio industry awards

It has been announced that Chris Moyles and Russell Brand have been nominated in this year’s Sony radio industry awards.

Chris Moyles is up against Johnny Vaughan for best breakfast show and Russell Brandi is also against Johnny in the entertainment category.

The 26th Sony radio industry awards are due to take place on 12th May at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The award categories are as follows:

• Breakfast show award
• Music programme award
• Entertainment award
• Music broadcaster of the year
• Music radio personality of the year
• Speech broadcaster of the year
• Station of the year: Under 300,000
• Station of the year: 300,000 - 1 million
• Station of the year: 1 million plus
• Digital station of the year
• UK station of the year
